Helping Comes in Many Forms
You can be a part of all that we do by making a tax deductible donation, donating non-perishable items, becoming a partner or sponsored supporter, or by volunteering your time and care for the people we serve.
Help By Phone, Ltd. can use your help and we're happy that you're interested in getting involved. We are planning events, partnerships, and opportunities to regularly reach the community with outreach devoted to advancing the service provided through our Help By Phone Hotline.

Donations Accepted
Please donate non-perishable food items by delivering them to First UMC Hyattsville, 6201 Belcrest Rd, Hyattsville, MD 20782. Donations accepted on Sunday mornings between 9AM-10AM or Monday-Thursday, 9AM-3PM. Food pantry donation items include: Peanut butter *Canned meats (tuna, chicken, etc.) *Canned vegetables and fruits Rice, beans and pasta Cereal Shelf-stable instant meals Shelf-stable milk Granola bars Fruit cups and applesauce Crackers Soups, stews and broths *Higher demand items Please donate items that you would eat or give to your own family that are nutritious and nonperishable. Accepted items should be in good condition (ex. un-dented cans), unopened, and within the expiration period. Avoid donating glass items and homemade items
